A growing number of critical consumers, internationalization and the use of information technology have lead to changes in management within the agricultural and food industries. To manage these changes cooperation and web technology is essential. In order to reinforce and maintain the international competitive position of The Netherlands, the existing food chains and those of the ornamental plant cultivation need to be more consumer orientated.
The research centre aims to make the various developments and new types of chain management within the agricultural and food industries more manageable for entrepreneurs.
