Substance Abuse Treatment
The research centre is concerned with improving ‘quality of care’ in the field of substance abuse treatment. On the one hand the centre is aimed at generating knowledge about substance abuse treatment, for instance about ‘best practices’, evidence about interventions, organization, management or cost-effectiveness.
On the other hand it wants to contribute to innovation by dissemination and implementation of knowledge. To this end methods from the ‘quality of care’ field are applied, e.g. guidelines, indicators, clinical pathways, methods on patients logistics or breakthrough projects. From this perspective institutions for substance abuse treatment will be assisted to optimize their functioning and results.
