M.J.W.T. (Marcel) Nollen, MPA, PhD (biography)


Marcel Nollen (1963) has been a member of the Executive Board of Inholland University of Applied Sciences since 1 March 2012. Mr Nollen's responsibilities on the Executive Board include finances and business control, real estate and facilities management, HRM, ICT, information policy and information provision, the programme board, professionalisation, the Inholland holding, agricultural and economic education, and administrative account management for the regions of Rotterdam, Dordrecht and Delft.

Before taking this position, Mr Nollen was a member of the Executive Board of Albeda College (ROC) in Rotterdam, served as deputy director of Vocational and Adult Education (BVE) at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, and was the departmental head of Rail Transport at the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management. Prior to this, Mr Nollen worked at several different consultancies in his capacity as an organisational consultant.

He also holds a number of ancillary positions:

  • Chair of the Board, ASA (partnership between Inholland and USG People)
  • Member of the Advisory Board, SURF (ICT company for higher education)
