International policy of Inholland University


Inholland University of Applied Science collaborates with approximately 350 partner institutions worldwide, particularly in student and faculty exchange. To further enhance strategic and sustainable partnerships in education, research and extra-curricular activities Inholland focuses on three geographic regions.  These are Asia (China, India and Indonesia), Latin America (Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico) and Europe (UK, Germany, France, Poland). The University actively recruits students for its English-taught degrees in China, Finland, Germany, India (starting in 2006/07), Indonesia, Norway, Poland, Turkey and The Netherlands Antilles.

Inholland University of Applied Science defines internationalisation as ‘All pro-activity at an institutional level that facilitates the development of a truly international community within our Schools. This community prepares and trains our students to be able to excel in their future professional and personal lives in a world characterised by international relations and globalisation.’

Inholland University of Applied Science sets out to improve both the quality and quantity of its international focus. We firmly believe in the value of international relations and the policy of internationalisation for:

  • the improvement of the curricular quality of our programmes
  • the attainment of accreditation and the international recognition of degrees 
  • the encouragement of student and faculty exchanges between institutes of higher education 
  • the benchmarking of our research and education and
  • the achievement of a good, sound position as a university of applied sciences.
