Holland Scholarship

What is the Holland Scholarship Programme (HSP)?

This scholarship is available for talented international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to study their Bachelor degree or Master degree in the Netherlands. The EEA consists of the European Union (EU) countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The Holland Scholarship amounts to €5000 and is awarded only once. It will be paid at the end of the first academic year. The Holland Scholarship for incoming students is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education and Inholland.

Inholland is offering 10 Holland Scholarships for academic year 2021 – 2022.

Application Criteria ( you need to meet all conditions)

  • You are a student from outside of the European Economic Area (EEA).
  • You are applying for a full-time Bachelor Degree.
  • You do not live in the EEA at the time of the application.
  • You have not studied before in the Netherlands.
  • This is your first time fully enrolled for a course at Inholland University of Applied Sciences.
  • You pay institutional tuition fees.
  • You have filled in and received a sufficient result (positive or positive with areas of attention) on the Study Check online questionnaire (also known as NOA test). Please note: in order to be able to meet this requirement, you need to have applied for the course of your choice via Studielink before 25 April 2021.
  • You have submitted a valid and sufficient English language B2 certificate. Read more about the English language requirements.
  • You have submitted your application assessment. Please note: some courses might require an interview as an additional assessment criterion for your application. You will be informed on whether you need to take part in an interview, after 1 May 2021. You will receive more information on how to prepare for the interview after 1 May.

You only receive the scholarship after having been fully admitted as a student at Inholland University.

How to apply?

Inholland University has set an application window starting from 1 April 2021 until 30 April 2021. If you want to apply for the Holland Scholarship, prepare and complete the application assessment before the deadline closes on 30 April. You can upload the application assessment via the Inholland SelfService portal. The application assessment can be found here. You will get access to this portal only after you have applied via Studielink. Please note: you are only able to upload your application if you have met all the requirements stated above.

Upload your application assessment no later than 30 April April 2021. Please clearly state your full name, nationality, your Inholland student number and the course you are applying for via the application form.


You will be notified via email within 6 weeks from 1 May onwards on whether you have been awarded the scholarship, have been placed on a waiting list or have been rejected.
