Inholland offers a limited number of rooms for international students.
Inholland has an agreement with student housing corporation DUWO in order to provide furnished accommodation near the university building. To secure a room, you should apply early. We only have a limited number of rooms available. We cannot guarantee housing, but we will do our utmost to help you.
UPDATE 13 JULY: It is no longer possible to apply for a room via Inholland anymore. If you are still looking for accommodation, please head to the Direct Offer site of DUWO.
Our accommodation in Amsterdam is only meant for international students who are admitted to Inholland University of Applied Sciences, location Diemen or Amsterdam. If you are admitted to Inholland Haarlem, please go to the page about Haarlem.
As an exchange student, you will come to Inholland via your own university (which is always a partner university of Inholland). You can rent accommodation for one semester or an entire academic year.
As a degree seeker, you will study at Inholland for four years in order to obtain your bachelor's degree. You can rent accommodation for one academic year. You will have to find your own accommodation after this first year.
If you will arrive more than a week after the starting date of your rental contract, you need to notify both Inholland's international office and housing corporation DUWO. If you fail to do so, the room will be allocated to someone else and you will still be charged the first month's rent and administration costs.
It is not possible to get a reduction for late arrival or early departure. All rental dates are fixed, so it is not possible to end your contract before the end date that is mentioned in your tenancy agreement.
It is very difficult to find accommodation in Amsterdam/Diemen due to a shortage of student rooms. If you want or need to look for housing on your own, we advise you to start looking at least 3 months before arrival!
You can also check out these websites to find student housing, including temporary and long term options.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Please realize that renting a room through all of these services falls under your own responsibility, so be aware of fake accounts.
Never send a copy of your ID if you do not know who the owner is. Furthermore, never pay deposit or rent until you have the keys to the accommodation in your possession. If the landlord wants to send you the keys by post, this is usually a sign of fraud as well, as well as a payment via Western Union. Be careful of these signs!
For DUTCH Inholland students living in the Netherlands and are seeking for a room in Amsterdam:
