Corona measures – curfew extended until 15 March

online lesgeven apps

Eventhough new corona decisions are often already announced before the press conference, it remains to be seen every time how the new measures will affect you. What are the possibilities to meet each other finally again in person? Unfortunately this is not the case and we will have to, once more, power through.

The cabinet has decided to extend the curfew until Wednesday 15 March 4:30 am. Until then, everyone ought to stay inside between 9 pm in the evening and 4:30 am in the early morning. The cabinets reasoning to extend the curfew is to create space for relaxation of measures elsewhere.

Unfortunately, no grand relaxation of measures lie ahead. Although practical classes during the evening will continue again besides the current exceptions of the curfew regarding exams and special education. Furthermore the current measures are in place. This means we will continue online education after 3 March. More detailed information about your schedule is provided by your course.

Going home after 9 pm?
You are only permitted to travel home after 9 pm when carrying an ‘individual curfew statement’ ánd documentary evidence of your exam. We provide you with this statement after you finish the exam or practical class. You can show the documentary evidence of your exam via ‘MyInholland’-app or via the confirmation mail of your exam. This also applies to your practical class. The current corona measures stay in place.

The second extension of the curfew and the measures that limit the possibilities in higher education make it difficult once again for you to stay resilient. Though we have high hopes, looking at the relaxation of measures for the primary education and vocational training, this will also be the case for the higher education sector in the near future.

We know you are under a lot of pressure. But we do hope you find the strength to persevere. In case this is quite a challenge and you are looking for help due to whatever reason? Don’t keep it to yourself and get in touch with your study programme, study counsellor, coach, a dean or a student buddy of the Student Success Centre.

Hang in there! Take care of yourself and stay in touch with each other. You can find more information about corona measures via Knowledge Base on Iris.
