Unfortunately, things are going in the wrong direction again with the number of corona infections in the Netherlands and the cabinet announced new measures last night. Fortunately, these measures will not directly affect your education. However, you are again obliged to wear a face mask while moving within the buildings of the University. And we ask you to keep your distance from each other where possible.

Face masks mandatory again
As of November 6, wearing a face mask will be mandatory again in the walk-through areas of the University buildings. Which means when you move from class to class, you need to wear your face mask.

Self-testing
It is not mandatory, but if you come to our buildings, we ask you to take a self-test twice a week. If the self-test results are positive, you stay at home and make an appointment for a PCR test at the GGD. It is also wise to do a self-test if you have been vaccinated. New self-tests are available at the reception or exit of our buildings.

Stay home with complaints
Only use the self-test if you have no symptoms. Do you have any symptoms? Then stay at home and have a PCR test done at the GGD.

Have you not been vaccinated yet? Then we hope you think about doing so. And when in doubt, make sure you do proper research or contact the GGD office.

Corona QR code not mandatory
For the time being, the introduction of a Corona QR code check for higher education is not on the agenda. The umbrella organization Vereniging Hogescholen (VH) is discussing this with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. On behalf of all Universities of applied sciences, including our, the VH has announced that it is absolutely not in favour of a corona QR code check in higher education. This is due to the possibly difficult execution of the check. But more importantly; education must be equally accessible to everyone and separation must be prevented.

Are you doing an internship? Then we ask you to follow the guidelines of your employer and, where necessary, to coordinate with your internship supervisor.

We assume that everyone complies with the measures and encourages each other to do so. Hang in there, stay healthy and watch each other!
