Mieke van den Berg appointed member of Executive Board Inholland

Mieke-van-den-Berg

Mieke van den Berg will be joining the University of Applied Sciences Executive Board effective 1 February 2020, taking over the position vacated by Marcel Nollen. "Mieke is an expert in her field and a wonderful person, so it gives me great pride to welcome her to Inholland", said Jet de Ranitz on Van den Berg's appointment.

"As I learnt during our first meeting, Mieke embodies Inholland's core values and combines expert knowledge of her field with a great sense of humour. With experience in the fields of real estate, HR and finance, she brings a great deal of added value to the table. She feels at home in Amsterdam, which is obviously great in terms of our plans for Campus on the IJ. I look forward to welcoming her."

Inholland's University Representative Advisory Council has issued a positive recommendation to the supervisory board on Van den Berg's appointment, and has issued a similar recommendation to the selection committee, which comprises representatives of the faculties, services and representative advisory council. As part of her duties on the Executive Board, Van den Berg will be charged with the operational management portfolio, which includes aspects such as finances and business control, real estate and facilities, HRM, ICT, information policy and information systems and the Inholland holding. The other portfolios (such as faculties and locations) will be allocated in consultation between the Executive Board members once Van den Berg has taken up her duties.

‘I'm proud to become part of this wonderful organisation’
Mieke van den Berg spent years on the Executive Board at the Amsterdam-based Eigen Haard housing association. She has some prior experience with the university of applied sciences, having lectured at the Accountancy programme at Inholland's predecessor in Diemen.

"Higher professional education is socially relevant. Inholland is all about having the courage to learn and embrace personal development. I'm proud to become part of this wonderful organisation", says Mieke van den Berg.

An experienced administrator with extensive knowledge of business operations.
Siebe Riedstra, chair of the Supervisory Board: "Mieke is an experienced administrator with extensive knowledge and experience in business operations. She will be a great addition to the Inholland team and I look forward to working with her."
