De nieuwe portal* van de opleiding International Business Innovation Studies is eind augustus in gebruik genomen. Een spannende dag voor de IBIS-studenten, staf en het projectteam. Samen met IBIS heeft het projectteam gedurende het afgelopen jaar de portal ontwikkeld. Willem Viets (IBIS Dean): ‘”weer een belangrijke stap in de ontwikkeling van IBIS. Vanaf nu hebben studenten, staf en externe stakeholders een online plaats waar ze álle informatie en communicatie betreffende het studieprogramma kunnen vinden. Het platform is zo ontwikkeld dat het in de toekomst toepasbaar is voor alle opleidingen binnen Inholland. Dank aan het pilot team voor al hun harde werk om de portal per vandaag in gebruik te nemen.” (scroll down for English version)
Nadat de docenten waren geïnstrueerd en de productiedata was gekoppeld was de portal klaar voor het eerste gebruik. Shelby de Nijs (projectleider Pilot IBIS) licht toe: “De gepersonaliseerde portal zorgt ervoor dat de studenten en de docenten en andere collega's van IBIS alle informatie die zij nodig hebben voor hun studie of werk via één centrale plaats kunnen benaderen. De portal is geïntegreerd met O365/ Yammer en heeft koppelingen met de benodigde bronsystemen zoals PeopleSoft (student informatie systeem/ ijfers) en Eveoh (rooster). De portal toont alleen data die relevant is voor de gebruiker of waar de gebruiker recht op heeft. Zo vormt de portal een perfect startpunt.”
De IBIS-portal is een pilot project binnen Inholland en is opgebouwd uit componenten en een social-gedeelte. De componenten vormen losse tegels die de gebruiker naar eigen behoefte kan indelen. Zo kan er gekozen worden voor kleine tegels met iconen of voor grotere tegels die meer informatie tonen. Via de tegels kun je ook de achterliggende systemen benaderen, je O365 gebruiken en communiceren via Yammer. Daarnaast is de portal responsive en kan dus op alle mobiele devices worden benaderd. "Een knap staaltje ontwikkelwerk van ontwikkelaars Arjan Fledderman en Dzevad Svraka", aldus Shelby de Nijs.
*Voorlopig hebben alleen IBIS-studenten, -medewerkers en externe relaties toegang tot de portal.

August 29 was an exciting day for the students of the programme International Business Innovation Studies (IBIS), staff and the project team Pilot IBIS, as the new online community My Inholland* was taken into operation. Together with IBIS the project team developed the portal during the last year. Willem Viets (IBIS dean): ‘”another important step forward in IBIS development. As of now, students, staff and external stakeholders have one online location where they can find all information and communication concerning the study programme. This platform has been developed in such a way that it is applicable to every Inholland study programme in the near future. Thanks to the pilot team for all their hard work to make it work as per today.”
*For now, only IBIS-students, -staff and external stakeholders have acces to the new portal.
After instructing the teachers and connecting the portal to the live production data the portal was ready for the first use. Shelby de Nijs (project manager Pilot IBIS) explains: "The personalised portal enables students and staff to find all the information they need for their study or work at IBIS via the portal. The portal displays only data which is relevant for the user. As the portal is integrated with O365/ Yammer and uses the data from the source systems as Peoplesoft (student information system/ grades) and Eveoh (Schedule) the portal enables a perfect starting point.
“The IBIS portal is a pilot project within Inholland and combines components with social. The components are tiles can be arranged by the user. The user can choose the place and size of the tiles in the portal: small tiles with an icon view or larger tiles that display information. Through the tiles you can also approach the underlying application, O365 or communicate (Yammer). The portal is responsive and can be used on any device.
