The exhibition managed to engage thousands of visitors in both Europe and the United States on key themes such as AI, misinformation and digital literacy. The exhibition highlights the impact of digital services on public opinion and voting behavior.</span></p><img src="https://content.presspage.com/uploads/1802/1e4973ca-2662-4610-82a1-b45e31b12a46/1920_usaposterfabricated-alllogos.png?10000"><p style="margin-left:0px;text-align:left;"><span>“</span><i><span>Fabricated</span></i><span>&nbsp;is designed to give visitors insight into how digital technologies are affecting our society. Our goal is to make complex topics such as AI and misinformation understandable and tangible. With interactive games and experiences, the exhibition bridges the gap between abstract digital concepts and everyday reality. I hope that visitors to the exhibition will feel more confident and better equipped to participate in democracy,” said Susannah Montgomery, researcher at the Media, Technology & Society Research Group at ARC research center.</span></p><p style="margin-left:0px;text-align:left;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-left:0px;text-align:left;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin-left:0px;text-align:left;"><span><strong>From the Netherlands to the United States</strong></span><br><span>After touring&nbsp;</span><a href="https://www.inholland.nl/nieuws/fabricated---unravel-fact-from-fiction-in-your-digital-world/"><span>the Netherlands and other European countries</span></a><span>&nbsp;from May to July,&nbsp;</span><i><span>fabricated</span></i><span>&nbsp;was on view in September as the first exhibition in the Expo space during the opening of Inholland's new building on Pina Bauschplein in Amsterdam. After that, the exhibition was on view at prominent events such as the Society 5.0 Festival (Oct. 9-10) and DigiQuest (Nov. 21-22). In the meantime,&nbsp;</span><i><span>fabricated&nbsp;</span></i><span>took a three-week trip across the United States ahead of the presidential election. In our polarized society, we need more bridges like&nbsp;</span><i><span>fabricated</span></i><span>&nbsp;to help people better understand each other and their digital world,” said an American visitor.</span></p><p style="margin-left:0px;text-align:left;"><i><span><strong>Fabricated</strong></span></i><span><strong>&nbsp;returns to Inholland Amsterdam</strong></span><br><span>In the coming months, the research team will publish articles and reports on how residents of the United States and Europe understand important digital issues, such as misinformation, AI and content moderation.&nbsp;</span><a href="https://www.sustainablemedialab.eu/wp-content/uploads/sites/9/2024/10/fabricated-An-Interactive-Exhibition-on-Digital-Literacy_REPORT.pdf"><span>These insights, based on interviews and surveys conducted during the tour</span></a><span>, provide a better picture of how societies deal with digital challenges.</span></p><p style="margin-left:0px;text-align:left;"><span>Part of the exhibition will return to Inholland's Expo space in January as part of an exhibition on Digital Rights. From 18-22 November, several activities are organized at Inholland to celebrate all students with international ambitions. The WotIS is always organized in the week of 17 November: International Students’ Day. The week was originally initiated by Nuffic (Dutch National Agency for Internationalization in Education), to focus on international students studying in the Netherlands. Nowadays, it’s also aimed at Dutch students interested in an international experience abroad.</strong></span></p><p><span><strong>Why is an international experience important?</strong></span><br><span>At Inholland, we would like our students to gain international experiences in various ways. This can be done by e.g. doing a study exchange or internship abroad or by participating in international projects, during which they need to cooperate with international students in complex assignments that require an international approach. This will enable them in their future careers to build bridges across barriers between countries and cultures, and thus contribute to a sustainable society.</span><br><br><span><strong>What’s in it for students</strong></span><br><span>An international experience for students means: broadening your horizon, pushing boundaries, personal growth, creating an international network, strengthening your intercultural and English skills and above all: an unforgettable adventure!</span><br><br><span><strong>International Students’ well-being</strong></span><br><span>Since COVID-19, student well-being is under pressure, especially international students’ well-being. One of the bottlenecks is the limited social binding. Therefore, it is important to also organize social activities for international students during WotIS.</span><br><br><span><strong>Activities @ Inholland</strong></span><br><span>During the WotIS the International Office and the SSC organize several activities for both our international students studying at Inholland and for Inholland students with international ambitions. For instance, in Amsterdam, Dutch and International students can learn more about each others languages. In Alkmaar students can participate in a Game Night.                         <title>In memoriam: Mina Milusheva</title>

                        <guid>https://www.inholland.nl/nieuws/en/in-memoriam-mina-milusheva/</guid><pp:caseid>577031</pp:caseid><description><![CDATA[<img src="https://content.presspage.com/uploads/1802/b071e2a1-c353-48f8-9a61-13c0c0bc3605/1920_fotominamilusheva.jpeg?10000"><p><i><span>It is with extreme sadness and a heavy heart that we have to announce that Mina Milusheva, one of our first year International Creative Business students from The Hague, unexpectedly passed away on Friday June 9<sup>th</sup>.&nbsp;</span></i><br><br><i><span>Since receiving this distressing news, Maurice Kemper (team leader) and Barış Altınöz (Mina’s PD coach) have been to see some of Mina’s closest friends on Saturday and have met with Mina’s parents on Sunday.</span></i></p><p><i><span>Mina was a part of our student community and her hobbies and interests included music, singing, psychology, poetry, and fencing. She was originally from Bulgaria with her family residing in Dubai. Her presence added to the diversity of our campus and Mina will be sorely missed. Losing Mina is a blow for both her fellow students and our teaching and support staff.</span></i></p><p><i><span><strong>Memorial gathering</strong></span></i><br><i><span>We plan to hold a memorial gathering for Mina in the Mauritszaal at Inholland The Hague on Tuesday June 13<sup>th</sup> from 13.00 to 14.00 pm, both students and teachers are invited to attend. This will be a moment for us to come together and remember Mina. Following the memorial gathering, a book of condolences and a remembrance “corner” will be set up outside of Crea Lab 2-012 to leave your message for Mina’s family, boyfriend and friends.</span></i></p><p><i><span>We extend our condolences to Mina's family and friends, and to anyone who knew her at our university.
