Fascinated by the technique behind moving machines? Enter the world of Aeronautical Engineering.
Aeronautical engineering is about the research, design, development, construction, testing, science and technology of aircraft. In recent years, aeronautical engineering has become one of the major overlapping branches of aerospace engineering. The four-year Aeronautical Engineering programme focusses on designing and constructing aircraft and aircraft components. You will learn about engineering in general and you will gain practical experience during your internship. If you are fascinated by the history and methodology behind moving machines, aeronautical engineering is the programme for you.
How will next academic year look like?
The first year of the course will be offered fully online. If the students would like to re-locate in Delft, during the first year they are welcome to do so and we will do our best to offer them as many physical contact moments as possible, however those will be limited. This is to say that we leave the choice on whether to re-locate or not up to the students. Please note, as of now we hope the second year will be 100% on-campus education, this means non-EU student will have to go through the visa process in Summer 2021.
As fossil fuel reserves are depleting, the need for sustainable energy is greater than ever. Seven students from the Aeronautical Engineering programme decided to tackle this problem. They developed a vertical wind turbine to generate energy for offices and apartment buildings.
