Count on an average of forty hours of studying per week: attending class and working on assignments and projects with other students. You can earn 15 credits per term for a total of 60 credits a year.
At the end of your first year, we’ll take a close look at your study progress. Have you earned enough credits to continue your studies? And is the degree programme a good fit for you? Based on these questions, you’ll receive a study recommendation. This helps you decide in time whether to continue or switch to another programme. For all bachelor’s and associate degree programmes at Inholland, you need to earn at least 30 ECTS credits in your first year. If you don’t meet this requirement, you’ll receive a binding negative study recommendation. This means you can’t continue with this degree programme at Inholland unless you’ve shown in time that personal circumstances have played a role. In addition, some programmes may require you to pass specific study components in your first year. This is called the qualitative standard.
Our student counsellors are here to support you if personal circumstances are hindering your ability to focus on your studies. Whether you face personal challenges, have a disability, illness, family matters, or combine top-level sports with studying, we provide tailored guidance and support.
Contact our student counsellors at decanaat.amsterdam@inholland.nl before you apply to discuss how we can help you succeed academically.
