During your studies, you may run into questions or challenges — big or small. In those moments, it’s helpful to quickly see where you can go for support. That’s why we have the Student support network guide that helps you find the right support step by step. Thanks to your feedback during student panels, the guide has now been improved to make it even clearer and more personal.

Start within your degree programme
Do you have doubts about your studies, questions about planning, or are you not feeling your best? Your first point of contact is always a staff member within your own programme. This could be your personal development coach (pd-coach), study (career) coach, mentor or your internship or graduation supervisor. They will think along with you, help you find the right next step, and — if needed — connect you with other support services within Inholland. They may refer you to, for example:

  • student counsellor – for psychosocial support, personal circumstances, study delay, regulations, and special arrangements;
  • student coach – for stress, mental health concerns, study obstacles, performance anxiety, and support with disabilities or chronic conditions;
  • Student Success Centre (SSC) – a welcoming space for and by students, offering workshops and social activities led by student buddies;
  • Study Advice Centre – for questions about (re)orientation and choosing the right study path;
  • International Office – for support with studying or interning abroad;
  • confidential counsellor – for confidential advice and support about unwanted or unsafe situations.

What students told us
During the student panels you shared openly about how information could be improved. Three points stood out:

  • Information should be more accessible.
    Students want to find the right support quickly and easily.
  • Location‑specific information is important.
    Support staff can differ per campus — and that should be visible immediately.
  • The steps to take should be clearer.
    A clear overview helps you take action sooner.

These insights have been directly integrated into the new version of the Student support network guide.

New: Student support network guide per location
Based on your feedback, you can now find personalised Student support network guides for each campus on Iris.

These updated guides show at a glance:

  • which support staff are available at your location;
  • how and where you can ask your question;
  • which steps you can follow for different types of concerns.

Whether you’re dealing with study issues, personal circumstances, mental health concerns, or practical challenges — you can immediately see who can help you, right at your own location.

You can find the new Support Network Guide and more information at Iris.
