"I want to express special gratitude to the course-director and to experienced lecturers"

"I had experience in planning radiation therapy since 2014 when I graduated from university and started working as a medical physicist in the Radiotherapy department of Oncology Center. We had IMRT and VMAT techniques since 2015 when I went to Varian courses. Therefore, initially, I had a quite good experience and knowledge in planning modulated techniques.

The lung cancer planning competition held in Russia showed me that I still had a lot to learn regarding treatment planning. I participated in the VMAT online course at Inholland University of Applied Science in 2020-2021 and this course was very helpful. I have gained huge experience in treatment planning. I especially enjoyed making plans and completing tasks that must be completed by unfamiliar methods. We usually do it differently in Russia, so it was interesting to try something new.

I want to express special gratitude to the course-director and to experienced lecturers, who are very patient with each of the students, even if the student has a language barrier and feels uncomfortable in expressing himself in English. They actively participate in sessions, discussions, and are willing to solve any problem. They inspire and motivate the participants to further develop their skills and knowledge.

It was a great experience! The gained skills will always be useful and will contribute to future professional development and work."
