You can enrol in a higher professional education (HBO) programme if you have a HAVO, VWO or MBO-4 diploma (or an equivalent qualification). After enrolling in Studielink, you’ll complete the Study Check to make sure you’ve chosen the degree programme that’s right for you. You can start the programme when the qualifications listed below are met.

Inholland formally validates your documents to make sure all requirements set out by the degree programme are met. If you would like to apply, please send us copies of your diploma and your final transcript. These can be in Dutch, English, German, French or Spanish. If your diploma is issued in another language, please enclose a certified translation in that specific language. It'll take time to evaluate all documents so kindly send them at your earliest convenience.

Compare your international qualification to the Dutch degree standard
If English is not your first language, you will need to provide proof of your English proficiency. Students from countries other than the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand need one of the following qualifications:
IELTS: average score of 6
TOEFL internet-based: overall score of 80
Cambridge certificate: CAE, CPE or FCE overall score C (169-172)
Dutch diploma: pass for English on final havo or vwo exam, or the mbo-4 intake test English.
We recognise that applicants who have been out of education for some time may not have the formal qualifications required to enter a bachelor's programme.
If you are 21 years of age or older and do not meet the minimum entrance requirements, you can still be admitted by passing the entrance exam. This test is designed to assess your knowledge and skills to ensure that you are capable of completing a bachelor's programme.
