Second or third-year student? Choose a minor and tackle societal issues

Interdisciplinaire minors studenten

Are you going to take an elective in the first semester of the upcoming academic year? If so, know that you can now register for Inholland-wide electives. You'll be choosing a minor and tackle a societal challenge: a relevant issue to work on with students from other degree programmes from September 2024 to January 2025.  You can apply until Monday 6 May before noon (12pm) on this platform

Choose a relevant topic
With a challenge as a minor, you go beyond the boundaries of your own degree programme: you work together with students from various degree programmes. You also work together with entrepreneurs, municipalities, residents and researchers. An enrichment for your personal developments and a valuable preparation for the professional field. Find out what your knowledge is worth to make a serious impact. If you follow this elective, you will spend 20 weeks (30 EC) working on real life challenges, with relevant topics such as:

  • Leisure & Tourism
  • Music Industry
  • Tech & Society

Which minors can you choose?
Inholland offers exciting challenges in various interdisciplinary minors. You can choose from the following offer:

International Music Industry Lab (ENG)
Sustainable Media Lab (ENG)
Understanding AI (ENG)
Urban Leisure & Tourism Lab Amsterdam (NL/ENG)
Urban Leisure & Tourism Lab Rotterdam (NL/ENG)

In short: take a broader view, step out of your comfort zone, use your talent as a team player and work with students from other degree programmes on new solutions for real life challenges.
