Sluisbuurt here we come: activity related work at CRB Diemen

20240402_155446

Last week, representatives from training courses, knowledge center and staff from the Creative Business faculty location Diemen met during the 200 days session. They have been participating in the Activity Related Working pilot for this period. It is a methodology that fits perfectly with the new education of the courses and is also a good preparation for the way of working in our new school building in Amsterdam.

“Because that building is divided into rooms for all kinds of different activities; Through this pilot, employees and students have been able to get used to it and have gained valuable experiences that are being shared. With other courses in the domain, but also with the other domains that are moving to the Sluisbuurt," says project leader Myrthe Dortants.“During the entire academic year we organized sessions in which employees from the various courses, the knowledge center and the staff shared their experiences; with each other and with the Facility Affairs department. We identified bottlenecks and where possible we resolved them immediately. We also incorporated the experiences gained into the plans for the design of the new building.”

The last meeting (the 200 days session) took place last week. With this PowerPoint as a starting point, the participants talked to each other and discussed the developments in the pilot. The input collected in this way is used to further shape the design of the new building. You will find this input (in the form of post-its) as photos at the end of this article. If you want to view the flaps as a document, check the messages in our TEAMS environment. There you will also find all background to this pilot, including reports from previous sessions.

This 200-day meeting is the last in a series of sessions within this pilot. The pilot will continue until the end of the school year, but attention is increasingly shifting to the actual move and therefore to the new building.“And that really is a fantastic building!" according to Bas van Spréw. "As an employee, but certainly in my roles as branch director Amsterdam/Diemen and director of Creative Business, I am really looking forward to the move and am very excited to experience that new to move into the building!"
