Welcome for international students Inholland Haarlem
Last Friday September 10 Inholland Haarlem organised a Welcome Drink especially for the new (international) students of the degree programmes International Creative Business and Information Technology (first year). We want to offer our new (international) students a warm welcome, a platform and an opportunity to mingle, socialize and create a new network here in Haarlem. Therefore our Student Success Centre (SSC) organises until September 17 for all students of Haarlem a cool event week.
Pub quiz and Study Associations
At the Welcome Drink we divided the whole group of students in different teams to play a special pub quiz: the best way to get to know each other and find out more about the Netherlands and Haarlem. Kenneth & Andor, students of Creative Business, were the best quizmasters ever! Students of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Haarlem, Creatrix Populus, Lepidoptera and Student Success Centre (SSC) were also present. ESN Haarlem organises events and fun stuff like cultural activities, international dinners, city trips and more for the international students of Inholland Haarlem. Creatrix Populus is the Study Association of Creative Business and Lepidoptera the Study Association of IT. They organise activities, interesting guest lectures, parties and special study trips. To join these networks is the best way to meet new people and make new friends.
Student Success Centre (SSC): event week until September 17
Our Student Success Centre (SSC) wants to contribute to your study success. It is a meeting place for and by students. Get in touch with a student buddy, sign up for an event or follow a training course to work on both your personal and your study skills. Until September 17 the SSC organises cool events and training courses for our students. Different events are scheduled every day. This way you can get to know your city better during a walking tour. We also give a planning workshop or Moodle training and we take a morning dip in 't Wed. And don’t forget to follow the online workshop ‘How to survive the Netherlands?’
What do I have to do? Register! Would you like to get to know Haarlem better in a sporty and fun way? Or do workshops that allow you to improve your skills? Many activities have a limited number of participants, so be quick! Please sign up to join these activities!
