On Tuesday March 31, the government announced that all existing measures countering the spread of the corona-virus will be extended up until and including Tuesday April 28. For Inholland University of Applied Sciences, it means that the already taken decision remains, namely to continue offering (remote) education online until Monday June 1st. However, we are changing the opening hours of the buildings. There will be no physical education activities until June 1st (such as courses, working and project groups, meetings and exams).

Change opening hours of buildings
Per Monday April 6, we change the opening hours of our buildings. From that moment on, the buildings are open from 10.00 until 15.00 (instead of 8.00 until 16.30). For the safety and health of our colleagues and students, the urgent advice remains to work and study from home and to continue following the guidelines of the RIVM.

All buildings closed during May holidays
The OZW-building, the ACTA-building and location Naaldwijkstraat in Amsterdam and the building in Dordrecht will remain closed. All buildings are closed during the holiday period from Monday April 27 up until and including Tuesday May 5.

Advice remains: stay at home and keep your distance
President of the Executive Board Jet de Ranitz: “we ask you to study and work at home as much as you can. We do not encourage presence in the building, taking into account the advice of the RIVM and the guidelines of the government. At the same time we realise that this is not always possible, because of different reasons, for example an exceptional private situation. Another possible reason is that a student or colleague may not have the required facilities. Everybody who is in our building, for whatever reason, needs to keep the physical distance of at least 1,5m. I greatly appreciate the colleagues who are present at our locations every day. Specifically for them, I ask you to take great care in taking your distance.

We are preparing ourselves for the possibility that education will be remote until the end of this academic year. Should the government indicate that educational activities can take place at the location earlier than expected, we will relaunch our activities step by step.

Accessibility Service Desk
The physical services of the Service Desk will stop on April 6. However, the Service Desk can be reached online and via phone. Handing out and/or taking in of materials is only possible by appointment.
