I like things that are not yet there or that are unique!
I am a creative guy! Coming up with and creating the whole concept is what I like. During my graduation internship, they also saw that I was enterprising, and I got to work. I learn quickly and am very eager to learn. I like things that are not yet there or that are unique! The social aspect of work is very important to me. In my current job, I connect so well with the team. That is super!

‘We can do that too’
I come from Abbekerk, a small village in North Holland. About 2,000 inhabitants live there. When we cycled to a party with eight friends in 2019, we thought, 'We can do that too!' We contacted the youth association and then started small. The first edition sold out two weeks in advance. We continued, and each edition got bigger and bigger. Besides NYE parties in a church & Pool parties in the pool, among others, we also picked up our fair Saturday in recent years. After this year our pub, which we worked with, had to make way for new construction, so we picked up the full 4-day event this year. But conceiving and building it up is perhaps even more fun than the party itself. And to do this together with friends is absolutely fantastic. Together we created a foundation from which we organize everything. Our goal is to organize cool events in unique locations.

Entrepreneurship is simply doing. Just getting started. Try it!

Gather the right people around you
During Corona, we noticed that the absence of contact for young people is a huge lack. The young people from the village had nowhere else to go. I wanted so much to meet new people again. That's why I'm glad we were able to organize something again then. When we heard that you could organize a festival for up to 750 people outside, we got together immediately. In 3.5 weeks we organized everything. From nothing to a sold-out festival!

I guess I can call myself the creative brain of the organization. I like to focus on surprising details, decor, special effects, and other show elements. It's great when people come in and think 'wow' what a cool look this is. That makes me very happy! Everyone in our team has their own qualities. You must gather the right people around you. If you are not good at something, find someone who is. Then you build a team.

‘Just do it. Just start’
During my studies, I missed being an entrepreneur. When I was tipped off to SUCH's Start Program, I knew immediately, that this is what I'm going to do. I didn't think beforehand that I would get so much out of it. I still use the knowledge from the workshops in my work. Both in setting up the events within the foundation and in all the other events I co-organize.

Entrepreneurship is simply doing. Just getting started. Try it! Go out on a limb, we did. Everyone makes mistakes, and that's really where you learn the most. Then you know "We're going to do this better next time'''.
