An introduction to the methodological and statistical skills needed to do research in the field of healthcare
Dutch | English
Why are knowledge and skills about designing, conducting and interpreting research so important for all health care professionals? Because research provides evidence for national and international guidelines and ultimately improves the quality of healthcare. In addition, this will help you design and conduct your own research to get an answer on your own questions.
This module gives an introduction to the methodological and statistical skills needed to design, conduct, report and interpret quantitative, qualitative and systematic literature research in the field of healthcare. Self study is combined with meetings that can either be followed online or at our campus and a two-day intensive training at our campus. Due to COVID-19 this two-day intensive training can also be followed online.
The Research Methods module will be part of the new HBO Master's program Medical Imaging / Radiation Oncology (MIRO) of Inholland University of Applied Sciences from February 2026. This two-year part-time Master's program trains (future) Advanced Practitioners in medical imaging and radiotherapy. The content and expertise of this module are secured in one of the six MIRO graduation profiles. This means that the program is in line with the increasing complexity of the field, current task shifts and the need for academically trained MBBs.
