Students Inholland The Hague win National Creative Business Cup

Students from the Inholland programme Creative Business competed in the Dutch national final of the Creative Business Cup 2019. The jury members, all very experienced within the creative business industry, awarded the Inholland The Hague IMEM team (Tony Kyriakidis, Martijn Bos, Oliver Miles and Senna Driessen) the first prize with their company Venuepark. Venuepark is one of the competitors in the Wij Inholland award.

Venuepark is a go-to event planning platform, making it easier than ever to find and book venues and event services. After a selection procedure at all the applied sciences universities in The Netherlands, the best 7 teams entered into the final in Amsterdam. The competitors would be assessed on the following criteria: how realistic, scalable and financially solid their business is, how well-balanced their strategy is, the motivation and skills of the team and of course, creativity. The incredibly exciting and immensely promising pitches of all the young entrepreneurs made the level of this final very high. Ultimately, Venuepark was unanimously rated as the best. The second place was won by students from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and the third place by students from University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.

I am extremely proud of our students in beating all the others. It shows their personal and team potential. It also shows the high level Inholland students can achieve. I am looking forward to seeing them challenge the rest of the world in June!

Founder Tony: "Of course we want to win in Copenhagen. The prize money would be a huge support for our company as well as the additional training. At this moment, the feeling of being the best of The Netherlands and meeting all these excellent creative entrepreneurs gave us a massive boost."
