With our research, we are working on solutions for societal issues in urban areas.
The Creative Business Research Center is the research center of and for the Creative Business domain of Inholland University of Applied Sciences. In a diverse team of researchers, we work on design-oriented research in the field of the creative professional. We often conduct that research within urban living labs: collaborations of stakeholders (education, research, employers and other involved parties) around social issues in the urban areas where our university educates students.
Examples include the Urban Leisure & Tourism Lab Amsterdam & Rotterdam, SLUISlab, IMI Lab, Sustainable Media Lab and Citylab Haarlem. The ambition is to work in all cities where our programs are located in urban living labs, where research and education reinforce each other.
Our researchers have their own areas of expertise, but cross-fertilization and doing cross-national, multidisciplinary research together are a key tenet of the research agenda.
