Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if a programme is recognised or awards recognised degrees?

In the Netherlands the Central Register for Higher Education Programmes (CROHO) lists recognised higher education institutions and accredited programmes. Only degrees awarded by the programmes published on this website are recognised by all the authorities in the Netherlands and Flanders. Internationally, the Qrossroads website lists accredited programmes from European countries. All Inholland programmes are accredited. For more information, please check NVAO.

How do I know if an institution is recognised?

Higher education institutions in the Netherlands and Flanders can only be recognised by law or by a governmental decree. New institutions and providers are now recognised after a registration procedure, including the initial accreditation of programmes, and a formal decision by the government. The recognised higher education institutions are registered in the Central Register for Higher Education Programmes (the Netherlands) and the Higher Education Register (Flanders).  Inholland is a recognised institute. For more information, please check NVAO.
