How do you develop a new minor that truly resonates with students? At Creative Business, students and faculty collaborated on the development of a new minor focused on Emerging Technologies. Students researched what their peers found important, contributed ideas about the content, and helped shape the curriculum, technology, and communication.
What makes this pilot special is the sense of shared ownership: “It didn’t feel like a school project, but like a professional team building something together.” At the same time, the case study shows that partnership also has its limits and requires clear roles and expectations. The result: a relevant minor and a lasting role for students within education.
