How many credits do you need to earn?
Studyload
The study load is 24 - 40 hours a week. This includes college hours and practical work. Lectures and exams take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Binding Study Recommendation
At the end of your first year, we’ll take a close look at your study progress. Have you earned enough credits to continue your studies? And is the degree programme a good fit for you? Based on these questions, you’ll receive a study recommendation. This helps you decide in time whether to continue or switch to another programme. For all bachelor’s and associate degree programmes at Inholland, you need to earn at least 30 ECTS credits in your first year. If you don’t meet this requirement, you’ll receive a binding negative study recommendation. This means you can’t continue with this degree programme at Inholland unless you’ve shown in time that personal circumstances have played a role. In addition, some programmes may require you to pass specific study components in your first year. This is called the qualitative standard.

What are the entry requirements for a full-time degree programme at Inholland?
To be admitted to a full-time degree programme at Inholland, such as an Associate degree or bachelor’s degree, you’ll typically need a Dutch mbo level 4, havo, or vwo diploma. For master’s programmes, you must have completed a bachelor’s degree from a university of applied sciences (HBO) or a research university (WO). Each programme may have additional entry requirements, such as specific subjects, a selection process, an audition, or an entrance exam. Be sure to check the specific entry requirements for the programme you're interested in.
What are the tuition fees for a full-time degree programme?
You’ll usually pay the statutory tuition fees for a full-time degree programme. This amount is set by the Dutch government each year. If you’ve already completed a higher education programme (HBO or WO), institutional tuition fees may apply.
What does a timetable look like for a full-time degree programme?
On average, you'll spend 3 to 5 days a week on your studies. Your schedule will include a mix of lectures, group projects, practical assignments, and self-study. Your timetable will be available on our intranet, Iris, shortly before your degree programme begins. Please note, it won’t be available until then and may change throughout the year.
Can I work alongside my full-time degree programme?
Yes, many students balance their full-time degree programme with a part-time job. However, it’s important to consider the study load and any attendance requirements for classes.
When and how do work placements take place during a full-time programme?
During your full-time degree programme, you’ll complete one or more work placements. This usually takes place in the third and/or fourth year of an HBO bachelor’s programme. In some programmes, such as the PABO, students begin their work placements as early as the first year.
